A long-requested feature may be coming to Bungie’s shooter
Since the original, fans have been requesting to transfer their characters from one platform to another. The alternative? Starting completely from scratch, trashing hundreds of hours of progress. These requests only heightened with the launch of on PC, with console players eager to make the jump to 60 frames-per-second and mouse-and-keyboard controls. Those players may be getting their wish in the near future, if a recent datamined image is any indication.

With launch of Destiny 2’s latest expansion, Season of Opulence, came a major patch and a handful of unintentional leaks. One of the biggest was the uncovering of. But nestled among the datamined information was one intriguing image:
Unlike the Shadowkeep leak, this “cross save” image included no detailed information. But its appearance seems to heavily imply that cross save functionality is on the way for Destiny 2.
Cross save functionality is further, which has sources claiming that , Google’s forthcoming streaming games service, will support cross save in Destiny 2. In theory this would allow players to log on to their Destiny account from a wide variety of devices, so long as the network connection is strong enough.
There’s still a question of whether all existing platforms would be supported, though. Sony in particular has been hesitant to allow cross save functionality in games like, though and have shown it’s willing to budge.
