We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of December 9th.
With only a few days left until the launch of thein Destiny, players are likely brushing up on their Sparrow Racing skills before the SRL event returns to close out the year 2016. But unlike last year’s holiday event, this year’s will include much more than . Among other things, The Dawning will also introduce Strike Scoring into the fold, giving players yet another way to get a little something extra out of their daily grind.
Of course, the introduction of new content and events is always an exciting time for, but even the little things help as well. Just this week, for example, Bungie lessened the intensity of , giving a strong connection more priority than it has had in quite some time. While the goal is not to decrease the competitive nature of PvP in Destiny, it is supposed to make the connections between those players better.
On the regular side of things, Xur has returned to Destiny for the weekend, and brought with him a new set of exotic wares. He hasn’t given players much reason to be excited as of late, but that could soon change with the launch of The Dawning. Or perhaps he has an item that prepares players for the event.
This weekend, next to the big door that’s across from The Speaker. Head to the left after spawning into The Tower, follow the long pathway down a couple sets of stairs, and once you enter the open area Xur should be on the right hand side. Another way to find him is to exit The Speaker’s quarters and head directly straight towards the wall.
For armor, this week Xur has the Dunemarchers boots for Titans, the Sealed Ahamkara’s Grasps gauntlets for Hunters, and the Alchemist’s Raiment chest piece for Warlocks. This is the first time Xur has sold the Dunemarchers boots, so if there are any Titans out there who don’t have them yet, Xur has got you covered. They are pretty fun to use at first.
Xur’s exotic weapon this week is the Red Death pulse rifle. At first glance it might seem like Red Death is a waste, but keep in mind that The Dawning adds theto the mix, so perhaps Bungie is telling us something. Maybe not, but if you don’t own Red Death, it’s a solid pulse rifle.
